Description 

Moulage concept and skills workshop is designed to interact with the learners in enhancing realism in simulated healthcare training scenarios. Moulage is a technique that supports the sensory perception in the scenario. Addition of Moulage provide cues that enables educators bridge the gap between clinical case and a simulation. This workshop is designed to train participants in the incorporating moulage into the training paradigm. This activity will address the moulage concepts, basic skills, advances skills and preparation on moulage using easily available materials. Utilizing best practice techniques, participants will learn to create moulage as indicated by real life. 

Objectives 

By the end of the course, the participants should be able to : 

1. Recognize the concept of moulage and the use to create realistic learning experience 

2. Demonstrate basic techniques of Moulage on a living model/simulator 

3. Create soft tissue wounds and accessory moulage utilizing gels, silicon, and waxes 

4. Transform the use of common household supplies into tools that can be created a realistic trauma scene 

5. Apply advance technique of moulage to create life like wound 

6. Demonstrate te removal of moulage and cleaning tools using the proper sanitation and cleaning techniques
