Objectives : 

At the condition of this educational activity, participants will be able to : 

1. Appy a thorough understanding and practical knowledge of the basics of airway assessment in clinical practice 

2. Recognize the signs of potentially difficult intubation and airway management

3. Develop a plan for dealing with known difficult airway 

4. Develop effective management strategies to deal with challenging airway scenarios 

5. Recognize difficulties associated with management of the difficult airway in the emergency department , ICU , and non -operating room locations 

6. Acquire working knowledge of a variety of newer airway management devices.
