- To provide adequate  exposure to pediatric subspecialties that usually overlooked (such as Genetics , Behaviors , and Development, Rheumatology, Immunology, Dermatology etc) 
- To develop critical thinking abilities and clinical reasoning in order to practice safe, effective and professional pediatric care 
- To meet SCFHS requirement of learning codes of medical ethics for pediatrician 
- To meet SCFHS requirement to be part of champions in health care improvement and patient safety
