Course Objective : Upon completion of the course , the participants will be able to : 

1. Review illustrations of anatomy and physiology of the vein 

2. Outline the indication , risks, complications and management of advance intravenous therapy 

3. Demonstrate and practice the techniques for insertion of the intravenous cannula 

4. Identify the different types of devices and fluids for the intravenous administration and intravenous medication 

5. Assist with CVC and arterial line and plan the nursing care intervention 

6. Apply appropriate skills demonstration in operation and management of volumetric infusion pumps

7. Administer blood and blodd products guidelines based on the hospital policy and procedures

Target Audience :  Registered Nurses 

CME hours : 5 CME
